Beta Check-In


Our Progress towards the Beta milestone is roughly 50%

Our main goal post Alpha was completing the Main Gameplay Loop and tying together the various Scenes:
Player Clicks Play > Loads into Sub > Player Activates Dive > Enters the Facility and either:
A. Dies to the monster and is respawned back at the Submarine and Dive is ended
or
B. returns to the submarine with their treasures and sells them
Player is then able to leave the Dive via the Landing Initiation Button and return the sub into "Non-Parked" state.

Our Gameplay Loop is now 90% complete with some known Issues

As you can see, two major issues have arose (and we also worked out the causes)
1. Leaving the facility spawns you in a very random place

2. Dying is trying to spawn you back at the Original location of the Submarine, dropping the player into the Void.

3. There is no "win" condition to fully end a run

Many of these fixes will be addressed fairly (hopefully) fairly quickly as their sources are already identified, lots of simple oversights which need tweaks. Looking towards Beta some concerns arise: since we have been on catchup since missing the Alpha mark, we now have no chance during Beta dev to polish the loop as were still working on making it function/connected.

Our Aim going forward is to Fully Finish this loop. Work out the current bugs & issues and get ourselves into a place of stability so that we can focus on polish.

We also are slowly chopping away at Art, our first few models are going through the UV and Retopology phase currently.
